A. Brumley presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Com- missioners Hornsby and Puryear and Mayor Pro -tem Brumley (3) . Mayor Murphy and Com- missioner Grumley were absent (2) . Mayor Pro -tem Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the minutes for May 25, 1977 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby and Puryear, and Mayor Pro -tem Brumley (3) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that exonerations prepared and delivered by the City Treasurer (covering period January 1, 1977 - June 30, 1977) numbered 24067 - 24127 (City) and 142 - 151 (county) be received and filed and that the amounts of same totaling $2,122.88 be exonerated on tax bills shown and designated by said exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby and Puryear and Mayor Pro -tem Brumley (3) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel changes be made: 1. Horace Beasley, collector in the Refuse Department, be reclassified as truck driver in same department, at a salary of $4.07 per hour, retroactive to June 6, 1977. 2. William R. Koss be employed as collector in the Refuse Department, at a salary of $3.80 per hour, retroactive to June 7, 1977. 3. Thomas M. White be employed as vehicle body repairman in the Street Department, at a salary of $4.55 per hour, retroactive to June 6, 1977. 4. Charles L. Hammonds be employed as maintenance helper in the Maintenance Department, at a salary of $4.20 per hour, retroactive to June 6, 1977. 5. John L. Gregory be employed as recreation instructor in the Parks and Recreation Department, at a salary of $7.00 per session, retro- active to May 30, 1977. 6. Robert Leeper, , tennis instructor in the Parks and Recreation Depart- ment, be reclassified as recreation instructor in the same department, at a salary of $7.00 per session, retroactive to May 30, 1977. 7. The following be employed as pool managers in the Parks and Recreation Department, retroactive to May 28, 1977: Henry L. Paul, Jr., at a salary of $110.00 per week Amy L. Brooks, at a salary of $110.00 per week Billy Roy Howard, at a salary of $100.00 per week Linda Diane Wright, at a salary of $100.00 per week. 8. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah June 10, 1977 Mayor Pro -tem Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah of the following cemetery lots, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery graves: follows: 1. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, as WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes permit the adoption of resolutions by reference to a summary thereof; I therefore move that a resolution authorizing the City Manager to advertise for bids for Street Improvement Work known as Phase II of the Community Development Street Improve- ment Program and as appended in full hereto, be adopted according to law. Mayor Pro -tem Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, as follows: WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes permit the adoption of resolutions by reference to a summary thereof; I therefore move that a resolution requesting the City Manager to advertise for bids for the purchase of the City's requirement of bituminous concrete (Class I, Type A) for the year 1977 (approximately 5,000 tons) to be used in street resurfacing and as appended in full hereto, be adopted according to law. Mayor Pro -tem Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, as follows: WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes permit the adoption of resolutions by reference to a summary thereof; I therefore move that a resolution adopting and approving the execution of a contract between the Incorporated Area of Paducah located in McCracken County and the Bureau of Highways, Commonwealth of Kentucky, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, , 1977, as pro- vided in the' Kentucky Revised Statutes and accepting all streets listed therein as being streets which are a part of the incorporated area of Paducah, and as appended in full hereto, be acopted according to law. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, as follows: WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes permit the adoption of ordinances by reference to a summary thereof; I therefore move that an ordinance amending Sub -section (a) of Section 2-21 "Vacation Leave Generally" of the Code of Ordinances and as appended in full hereto, be adopted according to law. Christian, to purchase the interest of the City in Lot 5 Block 10, O'Bryans Addition, for the sum of $135.00, and as appended in full hereto, be adopted according to law. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Pro -tem Murphy (3) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board retire to executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Pro -tem Brumley (3) . Upon the conclusion of the executive session, the Board reconvened in the Commission Chamber, whereupon Mayor Pro -tem Brumley announced there was no further business.
