Mayor Murphy offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the reading of the Minutes for January 27, 1976 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley , Hornsby,, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Mayor Murphy made the following appointment: The term of office of Leo Hunter as a member of the Civil Service Commission having expired, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint the said Leo Hunter for a further term of three (3) years, so that said Commission shall be composed of the following members: James Curtis whose term expires December 9, 1976 W. Robert Johnston whose term expires December 9, 1977 Leo Hunter whose term expires December 9, 1978 Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor William S. Murphy reappointing Leo Hunter a member of the Civil Service Commission. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas , Commissioners Brumley, Grumley , Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the executed copy of the contract dated February 6, 1976, between the City of Paducah and James Municipal Equipment, Inc. , for sale to the City of one (1) 20 cubic yard refuse packer body, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Performance Bond, also the Labor and Material Payment Bond of Harper & Arterburn in connection with the Townlift project, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the executed copy of the Agreement, dated January 5 , 197 6 , between the Jackson Purchase Local Officials Organization and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, pertaining to regional emergency medical service, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Brumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the reports of the Paducah Water Works for the month of January, 1976, be received and filed. Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that upon recommendation of the City Manager the following personnel changes be made: 1. Mrs. Ann Simmons, temporary clerk in Finance Department, be terminated retroactive to February 2, 1976. 2. Mrs. Marjorie B. Lowry be employed as temporary clerk in the Finance Department, at a salary of $300.00 per month, effective February 4, 1976. 3. The resignation of Kenneth B. Aldridge, Fireman in the Fire Department, be accepted, retroactive to January 30, 1976. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the following bids for sale to the City of Paducah of it's requirement of automobile and truck tires for the year 1976, be received and filed: Bowling General Tire, Inc. B. F. Goodrich Store Goodyear Service Store Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Brumley, that the Annual Report of the Paducah Police Department for the year 1975, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the claim of William T. Perkins, 2316 Eulah Street. in the amount of $75.00 for damage to his 1967 Ford Pickup truck caused when struck by a city street sweeper being operated by Larry Myers on January 22, 1976 at 13th & Mallory Streets, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay said claim after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an executed copy of the Contract, dated January 27, 1976, between the City of Paducah and Harper and Arterburn for construction of the Townlift Pori ect , be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley, Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the bid submitted by Noble Park Funland, Inc. for operation of the City's concession stand located in the Noble Park swimming pool building, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Brumley, Grumley , Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (5) . Retire to Executive Session ✓ ii Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the Board of Commissioners retire to executive session for the purpose of discussing labor and personnel matters.' Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Grumley, , Hornsby, Puryear and Mayor Murphy (4) , Commissioner Brumley voted "No". There was no further official business following the executive session. On motion the meeting adjourned. ADOPTED 1976 APPROVED Mayor City Clerk
