Proceedings of Board of Comm;Qainners City of Paducah August 4, 1981
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of City Hall at 4:30 P : M . on August 4, 1981, Mayor Penrod presided and upon call of
the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Coleman, Ford, Viterisi and
Mayor Penrod (4) . Commissioner Flynn was absent (1).. -
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Ford, that the
Executed Copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 P.M. on August 4, 1981, be
received and filed. , Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Ford,,Viterisi
and Mayor Penrod (4)
Commissioner .Viterisi offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Ford, that the
following bids for construction of the Perkins Creek Interceptor - Phase I, be received. and •filed:
Tilford,. Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
J. L. Poole Construction, Inc.
Preston Carroll Company, Inc.
Town & Country Builders .. of Marion, Inc.
Joe Lindley Contracting, Inc.
Wahl's Excavating & Underground
Mathis Plumbing & Heating.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Ford, Viterisi; and Mayor Penrod (5) .
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Viterisi, that
the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH TILFORD
PLUMBING & HEATING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $765,228.30, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
PERKINS CREEK INTERCEPTOR - PHASE I, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST". This
ordinance is summarized as follows: Authorizing the .construction of- the Perkins Creek Interceptor
- Phase I in order to .provide sewers for the Kentucky Oaks Mall. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Ford,- Viterisi and Mayor Penrod (4) :
Commissioner Ford offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Viterisi, that the
Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB-
SECTION (a) OF SECTION 10-61, "UNASSIGNED POSITIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY".. This ordinance is summarized as follows: By creating
the position of Acting Chief Inspector, for six (6) months only, at a salary of $1,916.00 per
month. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Ford, Viterisi and Mayor
Penrod (4) .
Upon motion the meeting adjourned. _
