HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/31/80Proceedings of Rnard of rnmmis.�i�nQr� City of Paducah No. - 333 October 31, 1980 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall at 6:30 P.M. on Friday, October 31, 1980, Mayor Penrod presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Flynn, Ford, Viterisi and Mayor Penrod (4) . Commissioner Coleman was absent (1) . Commissioner Flynn offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Viterisi, that File notices of Called the executed notices of Called Meeting to be held at 6:30 P.M. on Friday, October 31, Meeting 1980, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Flynn, Ford, Viterisi and Mayor Penrod (4) . Commissioner Ford offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Viterisi, that the Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE Set tax rate for 80-81 LEVIES AND RATES OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FOR SCHOOL PUR- POSES FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1980 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1981, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID TAXES THEREUNDER DEFINED". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Setting the following tax rate for the fiscal year 1980-81: PURPOSE General fund of the City Other Municipal Purposes Public Library Appointive employees' pension fund Voted Bonds Sinking fund for retirement Interest SCHOOL PURPOSES RATE PER $1'00.*00 $0.471 0.046 0.002 0.011 0.016 Public schools - operating fund 0.352 Public schools - special school building tax 0.120 Paducah Community College 0.033 TOTAL tax rate per $100 on property subject to full tax rate 1.051 Special Levies for General Fund Stocks of banks 6 trust companies 0.190 Unmanufactured tobacco products 0.015 Other unmanufactured agricultural products 0.045 Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Flynn, Ford, Viterisi and Mayor Penrod (4) .
