Purchae Computer Equipment from AT4T Information Systems for Police Dept. t e Exercise option to purchase real estate from Mr. & Mrs. Roy Gramse - for landfill Executive Session - Personnel At a Called of the Board of Commissioners held on February 9, 1984, Mayor Viterisi presided and upon call of the Roll, the following answered to their names: Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5). Commissioner Cole offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the executed copies of notices of Called Meeting to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 1984, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cole, Cole- man, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5). Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Ford, that upon recommendation of the City Manager, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah orders that the personnel changes on the attached list be approved: (SEE MUNICIPAL ORDER BOOK) Commissioner Ford offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners introduce and pass an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE FROM CARGILO SALT COMPANY OF UP TO 500 TONS OF SALT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cargilo Salt Company for the purchase of up to 500 tons of salt, for not more than $26.00 per ton F.O.B. Paducah, Kentucky, and due to the weather declaring an emergency to exist. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5). Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Cole, that the Board of Commissioners introduce and pass an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FROM AT&T INFORMATION SYSTEMS, INC., TO BE USED BY THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with AT&T Information Systems, Inc., to purchase computer equipment for the Paducah Police Department; authorizing the payment of $161.75 per month for 48 months for said equipment; and due to the change of equipment used by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, declaring an emergency to exist. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5). Mayor Viterisi offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE EXERCISING OPTION TO PURCHASE REAL ESTATE." This ordinance is summarized as follows: Authorizing the Mayor to exercise the City's option to purchase real estate from Mr. & Mrs. Roy Gramse to be used as a land- fill, for the sum of $32,000.00, and authorizing the City Treasurer to pay Roy Gramse and Helen Gramse upon delivery of the deed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford and Mayor Viterisi (4). Commissioner Grumley voted "Nay" (1). Commissioner Cole offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman, that the Board of Commissioners go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussions or hearings which might lead to the appointment, discipline or dismissal of an individual employee. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cole, Coleman, Ford, Grumley and Mayor Viterisi (5). Upon conclusion of the Executive Session, the Board reconvened in the Commission Chamber whereupon the Mayor announced there was no further business. f�..�./ Adopted: -�' 14. City Clerk Mayor
