At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chambers at City Hall at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 1988, Mayor Montgomery
presided, and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Com-
missioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that
the executed copies of the Notice of Called meeting to be held at 6:45 p.m., Thurs-
day, November 3, 1988, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Mayor Montgomery made the following appointment: "WHEREAS, the term of
Norvil J. Williamson as a member of the Board of Adjustment expired on August 31,
1988, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint
Norvil J. Williamson as a member of the Board of Adjustment, which term will expire
August 31, 1992.
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman,
that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Montgomery in
reappointing Norvil J. Williamson as a member of the Board of Adjustment. Adopted
on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor
Montgomery (5)
Mayor Montgomery made the following appointment: "WHEREAS, the term of
Buford Wilson as a member of the Paducah Planning Commission expired on August 31,
1988, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint
Buford Wilson as a member of the Paducah Planning Commission, which term will expire
August 31, 1988.
Commissioner Keeling offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Leeper, that
the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Montgomery in reappointing
Buford Wilson as a member of the Paducah Planning Commission. Adopted on call of
the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery
(5).
Mayor Montgomery made the following appointment: "WHEREAS, Edward B.
Fritts has resigned as a member of the Paducah Transit Authority, I hereby, subject
to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, appoint Paul Martin as a member of
the Paducah Transit Authority to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Fritts, which term
will expire on June 30, 1992.
Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Keeling, that
the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Montgomery in appointing Paul
Martin as a member of the Paducah Transit Authority. Adopted on call of the roll,
yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley,
that a Municipal Order entitled, "A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING A WESTERN AREA
NARCOTICS TEAM INTER -LOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN
SAID AGREEMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners
