Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Keeling, that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 1988, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper
and Mayor Montgomery (4). Commissioner Coleman was absent (1).
The Commission heard a grievance filed by Officer Carpenter against Chief of Police
Robert Patterson.
At the conclusion of the hearing, Commissioner Keeling offered motion, seconded by
Commissioner Leeper, that the grievance be awarded to Officer Carpenter. Yeas, Commissioners
Keeling and Leeper (2); nays, Commissioner Grumley and Mayor Montgomery (2). Motion failed.
