HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/22/88Prnc-eedinas of Board of Commissioners No. City of Paducah June 22, 1988 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Office of the Mayor, at 9:00 a.m. on June 22, 1988, Mayor Montgomery presided and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (4). Commissioner Coleman was absent (1) . Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 1988, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery Commissioner Keeling offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners go into Executive Session to discuss litigation. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (4). At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened, whereupon the Mayor called the meeting back to order. Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Keeling, that the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT WITH PAUL H. LEGEAY". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Approving a Settlement Agreement and authorizing the payment of $35,000 to Paul H. Legeay. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (4). Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Keeling, that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1988, THROUGH JUNE 30, 19899 BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Adopting a budget for the fiscal year 1988-89, in the amount of $15,677,600. Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the 1988-89 budget be amended by increasing the amount donated to Senior Citizens from $4,000 to $6,000. Adopted on call of the roll, Commissioners Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5). Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Keeling, that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION 2-47, 'NONCIVIL SERVICE GENERALLY' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Amending the salaries of noncivil service employees effective July 1, 1988. Commissioner Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47.59 'NONCIVIL SERVICE GENERALLY', OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Amending the salaries of the Emergency Communications Department effective July 1, 1988. Raise City of Paducah Commissioner Keeling off ered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley, that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-52 'ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ADMINISTRATOR' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Amending the salary of the Alcoholic Beverage Administrator effective July 1, 1988. Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Leeper, that the Board of Commissioners introduce an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-49 'CITY MANAGER - GENERALLY' OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY". This ordinance is summarized as follows: Amending the salary of the City Manager effective July 1, 1988. Upon motion the meeting adjourned. ADOPTE e City Clerk
