At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chambers at City Hall at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 1988, Mayor Montgomery
presided, and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman,
that the executed copies of the Notice of Called meeting to be held at 4:30 p.m.,
Thursday, September 1, 1988, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll,
yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and Mayor Montgomery (5).
The Board held a discussion concerning the search for a City Manager and
the method of advertising for same.
Commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Grumley,
that the Board of Commissioners to into Executive Session for discussions which
might lead to the hiring, firing or promotion of an individual employee. Adopted
on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners, Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, Leeper and
Mayor Montgomery (5).
At the conclusion of the Executive Session the Board reconvened in the
Commission Chamber whereupon the Mayor announced there was no further business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
