Nagel has been a member .of the Paducah Cable Communications Authority for approximately nine years, and has been Chairman. of the Authority all of those years; and _.__ WHEREAS, Mr. Nagel has spent countless hours of his time voluntarily carrying out the affairs of the Authority and working with the personnel of the- Authority, all of which promoted and insured the continued success of the Authority; and WHEREAS, since his association with the Authority, Mr. Nagel has always provided friendship, guidance and inspiration to members of the Authority, and gave to the Authority an unparalleled expertise and wisdom for which the Board of Commissioners will always be apprec- ative; and WHEREAS, on March 7, 1983, Mr. Nagel unexpectedly passed away, which passing the City of Paducah desires to note with this Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, upon the unanimous vote of all members of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following Resolution is adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah individually and as a whole, do hereby express their sincere sorrow and remorse at the passing of Mr. Fred L. Nagel, who will be missed, not only as a hardworking and unselfish Authority member, but also, and most importantly, as an admired and respected friend. Mr. Nagel, through his service and leadership, has insured during his tenure with the Authority the continued success and effi- cient operation of the Authority. Accordingly, the City does hereby proclaim posthumously their special thanks and gratitude to Mr. Nagel for all that he has done and for all that he has given to the Authority, its personnel, and to each member. Though he will be greatly missed, he will always be remembered. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be served upon the family of Mr. Nagel by presenting a copy of same to his daughters, Mrs. Virginia Runge and Mrs. Ann Galli. Further, a copy of this Resolution shall be filed with the records of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. JOHN K.
