HERMAN KNIGHT
WHEREAS, Herman Knight has served the City of Paducah with
dedication and distinction for ten years as Chief of Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, Herman Knight began his career with the Maintenance
~ Department on June 3, 1968, as a Maintenance Helper and was promoted to
Number Two Maintenance Man on October 1, 1970, then to Meter Maintenance
Man on September 17, 1973, and was promoted to Chief of Maintenance on March
12, 1979, for a total of 21 years of service; and
WHEREAS, Herman Knight attended Parking Meter School .April 23-
25, 1974, then completed 16 class hours in supervisory development at Murray
State University on February 24, 1975, and attended the Kentucky Department of
Energy Training Seminar on Energy Auditing on October 20, 1980 to further his
qualifications.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:
That the Mayor and the Commissioners express their deep
appreciation to Herman Knight for his efforts and dedication toward making
Paducah's Maintenance Department an effecient and service oriented
organization of which our citizens can be proud; and
That the Mayor and Commissioners hereby direct the City Clerk to
make this resolution a part of the permanent records of the City of Paducah as an
expression of their appreciation to Herman Knight.
