WHEREAS, The Sixty-fourth Annual Academy Awards show was
held on Monday, March 30, 1992 at the Los Angeles
Music Center, Los Angeles, California, and
WHEREAS, Callie Khouri, a native of Paducah, Kentucky and a /
graduate of St. Mary High School, was the recipient of
the best original screenplay award for the film,
"Thelma and Louise", and
WHEREAS, Callie has demonstrated outstanding talent and
creativity in her work and particularly in this
screenplay,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:
That the Mayor and the Commissioners are very proud of Callie
Khouri and congratulate her as the winner of the Oscar for screenplay
and hereby direct the City Clerk to make this resolution a part of the
permanent records of the City of Paducah as an expression of their
congratulations.
