WHEREAS, James Vincent Hennessy has been a valued and talented citizen
.~- of the Paducah community, and
WHEREAS, he has served Paducah Community College with distinction as
Dean for Academic Affairs and as Coordinator of Community Service, and
WHEREAS, he has demonstrated his devotion to the community by
founding the Paducah-McCracken County Red Cross Blood Center and by serving
on its Board of Directors, by chairing the Area Health Education System for two
years, by serving on the Advisory Committee for the Paducah Community College-
Murray State University 2 + 2 Program and the Advisory Committee for the 4 + 1
Saturdays Program for Gifted and Talented Youth; he has served on the Advisory
Board of the West Kentucky State Vocational-Technical School and the West
Kentucky Consortium of Distance Learning, and
WHEREAS, he has participated in numerous productions of the Market
House Theater and the Paducah Community College Theater, and,
WHEREAS, he has contributed to the rapid growth in enrollment at
Paducah Community College,

j COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:

That the Mayor and the Commissioners in recognition of his many contributions
to this community express their sincere appreciation to James Vincent Hennessy
for his dedication and service to the Paducah community, and hereby direct the City
Clerk to make this resolution a part of the permanent records of the City of Paducah
as an expression of their appreciation and best wishes for Dr. Hennessy as he retires
as Dean for Academic Affairs at Paducah Community College.
