Senator Robert Leeper
WHEREAS, Senator Leeper served the City of Paducah as City
Commissioner from January 3, 1988 to January 8, 1991, and
WHEREAS, Senator Leeper was the youngest Mayor Pro-Tem to serve
the City of Paducah being 28 years of age when elected to his first term,
and
WHEREAS, Senator Leeper was the initiator of the idea of the VIP
pins and the Visitor in Paducah program and chaired the 1988 Park
Study in Paducah, and
WHEREAS, Senator Leeper is especially proud of his role in the '~
development of the objective method the city has established in the
hiring of personnel for the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS, Senator Leeper has said that he values most the many
friends he has made during the tenure of his office, and
WHEREAS, the Commission wishes to express its sincere thanks to
Senator Leeper for his service to the City of Paducah,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:

`~..~./ That the Mayor and the Commissioners express their deep
appreciation to Robert Leeper for his dedication and service to the
Paducah community and hereby direct the City Clerk to make this
resolution a part of the permanent records of the City of Paducah as an
expression of their appreciation.
