WHEREAS, Emma L. Whiteside has served the City of Paducah in
the Public Works Department for over 30 years, beginning her career
on March 22, 1961, and serving under the administration of six mayors
and eight city managers, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Whiteside is skilled and job oriented, helpful in
management and problem solving, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Whiteside has always professed her belief in
productivity at the least cost and in providing services to the citizens of
Paducah in the most efficient manner, and
WHEREAS, Emma Whiteside began her employment with the City of
Paducah as a Clerk Typist in 1961 advancing through various stages to
to Office Manager/Administrative Secretary in 1990, .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAHa
That the Mayor and the Commissioners express their deep
appreciation to Emma L. Whiteside for her dedication, dependability,
and loyalty to the work of the City of Paducah and congratulate her for
her thirty years of service.
The Mayor and the Commissioners hereby direct the City Clerk to
make this resolution a part of the permanent records of the City of
Paducah as an expression of their appreciation to Emma L. Whiteside.
