AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2013-7-8052 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH
MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION FOR THE NOBLE PARK POOL RENOVATIONS
PHASE II PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2012-12-8000 to enter into a
contract with Midstates Construction Co. in the amount of $139,607 for the Noble Park Pool
Renovations Phase II Project which included work for the concession stand upgrade and the
inclusion of hot water to each of the restrooms; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was approved by Ordinance No. 2013-7-
8052 in the amount $15,727.61 to remove an old asbestos water heater; and
WHEREAS, the verbiage was incorrect; and
WHEREAS, in order to correct Change Order No. 1 and close out the project
it is necessary to amend Ordinance No. 2013-7-8052 to include the removal and rebuild of an
exterior wall at the concession stand, the removal of an extra concrete slab, and additional
plumbing work in the amount of $22,958.72, therefore, increasing the total contract price to
$162,565.72.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah amends Ordinance No. 2013-7-8052

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
