~~f°` , WHEREAS, Mr. Devers has served the City of Paducah for 17 years as General
~~,~,~, - Manager of the Paducah Water Works, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Devers is known for his guidance in leading PWW through
the $16.8 million project of building a new treatment plant in 1984, and
WHEREAS, his leadership has resulted in many other projects leading to
over 350 miles of water main in this community, and has added to the
protection of citizen's property by increasing the capacity and the
number of fire hydrants throughout the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS, the quality of drinking water for all of PWW customers is
consistently superior to state and federal standards, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Devers is also known for his community work through the
Rotary Club and the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:
That the Mayor and the Commissioners in recognition of his many contributions to
~,,~ ~-~, the welfare and safety of this community express their sincere appreciation to
~, Marvin Devers for his dedication and service to the Paducah Community, and
`"~"'~'" hereby direct the City Clerk to make this resolution a part of the permanent records
of the City of Paducah as an expression of their appreciation.
