Gerry B. Montgomery
WHEREAS, this being the last City Commission meeting of the second term of
'.,,~'' Gerry B. Montgomery as Mayor of the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to recognize the contribution she has
made to this community in many areas, and
WHEREAS, we, therefore, recognize her work in economic development, in
tourism, and her interaction at the local, state, and national levels, and
WHEREAS, her priorities included a strong and well-maintained infrastructure,
an internal computerization of city government, and her desire to always improve
the way in which the city does its business, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Montgomery has been a leader in public/private partnerships
such as the downtown revitalization and the 800 MHz system; and in city/county
partnerships with interlocal agreements such as the E-911 system, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Montgomery has advocated safe and attractive neighborhoods
through various programs in the Police and Fire Departments, through the
rehabilitation of homes and properties, and the enhancement of the city's parks,
,- ~~, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH:

That the Commissioners in recognition of the leadership, vision, and all of the
many contributions to the welfare and safety of this community express their
sincere appreciation to Gerry B. Montgomery for her dedication and service to the
Paducah community, and hereby direct the City Clerk to make this resolution a part
of the permanent records of the City of Paduca/' / an expression of their
appreciation. ~
