WHEREAS, during her 19 year tenure as a member of the Board of
r~~~~ Commissioners of the Paducah Housing Authority,
`~.,,, /,;~ Mary G. Sledd has faithfully and tirelessly committed
herself to serving the best interest of the Authority, its
staff, the residents, and the community, and
WHEREAS, Mary 51edd has given 100 per cent in effort and
dedication in her position in an industry which has
seen drastic changes during her tenure, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Sledd has given far beyond her role as a board
member, assisting community residents in securing
decent, safe, and affordable housing, and
WHEREAS, she has volunteered her time and assistance in securing
necessary services through Social Services, Family
Services, Home Health Care, AFDC, food stamps, and by
providing transportation for people who needed help.
WHEREAS, she has spent many hours visiting residents, purchasing
groceries, preparing and delivering meals
r~, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
'J '~ COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:

That the Mayor and the Commissioners in recognition of the
many contributions to the welfare and safety of this community
express their sincere appreciation to Mary G. Sledd for her dedication
and service to the Paducah Community, and hereby direct the City
Clerk to make this resolution a part of the permanent records of the
City of Paducah as an expression of their appreciation.
