RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE KENTUCKY
GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO ENACT HOUSE BILL NO. 509
WHEREAS, the safety of police officer and the public at large is
threatened by fleeing suspects; and
~~ WHEREAS, House Bill No. 509 makes fleeing or evading a police officers
a felony which recognizes the seriousness of the offense; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Commissioners wish to encourage all
members of the Kentucky House of Representatives and Senate to vote in favor of this
legislation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
That the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, hereby express their support for the Kentucky General Assembly to enact
House Bill No. 509.
This Resolution shall take effect and be in force on and after the date of its
