HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-1-7507ORDINANCE 2009-1-7507 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDERS 1, 2 & 3 WITH STORY ELECTRICAL SERVICE, INC., FOR THE STREETSCAPE LIGHTING ALONG BROADWAY WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2008-7-7437 to enter into a contract with Story Electrical Service, Inc., in the amount of $40,974.00 for the installation of permanent lighting and electrical receptacles in the streetscape on Broadway, between 7 t Street and 2nd Street; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was required for circuit breakers and cover plates for an increase in the amount of $264.00 and Change Order No. 2 was required for a decrease for a high pole light in the amount of $750.00; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 (timeclock and photocell) in the amount of $6,824.00 is necessary in order to finalize the project for the above referenced contract, increasing the total contract price to $47,312.00. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Orders 1, 2 & 3 in the combined amount of $6,338.00 for the completion of the Streetscape Lighting Project along Broadway, increasing the total contract price to $47,312.00. SECTION 2. Funds will be expended through project account DT0022. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
