AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN EXTENSION AGREEMENT WITH MAGIC ICE USA, FOR THE
SEASONAL ICE SKATING RINK
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2008-6-7429 to enter into a
contract with Magic Ice USA, in the amount of $92,500.00 for the installation of a seasonal
ice skating rink; and
WHEREAS, an Extension Agreement is required for a one-month extension
of the ice skating season in the amount of $15,700.00, increasing the total contract price to
$108,200.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an
Extension Agreement with Magic Ice USA, in the amount of $15,700.00 for a one-month
extension of the ice skating season, increasing the total contract price to $108,200.00.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to KRS 83A.060; the City Commission suspends the
requirement of a second reading of this Ordinance. An emergency is hereby declared to exist
due to the contract expiration date is prior to the next regular scheduled Commission meeting
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
