HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008-11-7495ORDINANCE NO. 2008-11-7495 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE FOR A 2008 PRESERVE AMERICA GRANT WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Preserve America Grant adopted by Resolution on June 10, 2008, for the development of a Renaissance Area Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the National Park Service has approved the application and is now ready to award this grant. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the National Park Service to obtain a matching grant in the amount of $75,000.00 for a Preserve America Grant Award. This award is for the development of a Renaissance Area Master Plan to assist the City of Paducah with continued growth as a heritage tourism designation. The City will provide matching funds in the amount of $75,000.00, for this project. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Project No. CD0072. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. ATTEST: Tammara S.
