AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED
AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY
1 LOCATED AT 501 SOUTH 6TH STREET BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR THE
1� MCCRACKEN COUNTY JAIL EXPANSION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Deed and all
documents necessary, with James Phillip Joiner, for the purchase of real property located at 501
South 6th Street in the amount of $35,000 and $5,000 for relocation expenses for a total of
$40,000.
SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore
approved for acquisition, is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of 6th and Adams Streets on the south
side of Adams Street and the west side of 6th Street and being the
same point of beginning as designated as Tract Il in Deed Book 477,
Page 293, McCracken County Clerk's Office; thence from said
beginning point and along the westerly side of 6th Street toward
Jackson Street a distance of 1131/3 feet to a point; thence at right
angles and toward 7th Street a distance of 165 feet to a point in an
alley; thence at right angles and toward Adams Street in a northerly
direction a distance of 1131/3 feet to a point located on the south side of
(LIJ, Adams Street; thence at right angles and with the southerly side of
Adams Street in an easterly direction a distance of 165 feet to the
point of beginning.
Being the same property conveyed to Heights Finance Corporation, by
deed dated December 17, 2007 and recorded in Deed Book 1136, Page 221,
McCracken County Clerk's Office.
SECTION 3. The expenditure of funds for said acquisition and expenses will be
processed through project number PF0055.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
