HomeMy WebLinkAboutKentucky Homeland Security Summit708 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE McCRACKEN COUNTY FISCAL COURT AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS INVITING AND WELCOMING THE 2005 KENTUCKY HOMELAND SECURITY SUMMIT INTO THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND McCRACKEN COUNTY WHEREAS, securing the homeland is the top priority of the Federal, State, and Local governments; and WHEREAS, coordinating the efforts of government agencies at various levels is in the public interest; and WHEREAS, Paducah and McCracken County employ afull-time emergency services director who coordinates, trains, and directs an active volunteer emergency services team. This team has been a leader in innovation and training of similar units across the Commonwealth and participates with other emergency and health agencies locally and regionally in staging mock disaster management and preparedness exercises in our area; and WHEREAS, Paducah and McCracken County have both national and local facilities of vital importance, that require a high level of security. NOW, THEREFORE, because of the unique qualifications of the emergency agencies in Paducah and McCracken County and because of the historical awareness and practice of facilities security in this region, we hereby invite and welcome the 2005 Kentucky Homeland Security Summit into our city and county.
