AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH BLUEGRASS FIRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY AND
PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO TRIPLE
COMBINATION PUMPER TRUCKS FOR USE BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2013-3-8022 to enter into a
contract with Bluegrass Fire Equipment and Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., in the amount of
$863,588.00, with a prepayment deduction of $31,234.00 therefore, the total contract
price being $832,354.for the purchase two triple combination pumper trucks for use by
the Paducah Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required in the amount of $3,366.00,
due to additions of the following: full width step rear of body below hosebed, two
additional folding steps with handrails and lights and 12V spare wiring added in
compartments D 1 -D3 -P 1-P3, these additions were discovered during the manufacturing
process, increasing the total contract price to $835,720.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City approves Change Order No. 1 with Bluegrass Fire
Equipment Company, Inc., and Pierce Manufacturing Inc., for an increase in the amount
of $3,366.00 for additions to the two triple combination pumper trucks for use by the Fire
Department, increasing the total contract price to $835,720.00.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 1 with Bluegrass Equipment Company, Inc. and Pierce Manufacturing, Inc.,
approved in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the Fleet Fund account,
071-0210-542-4011.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
