AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN FUNDS FROM
THE PORT SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF THE MCCRACKEN
COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement
and all documents necessary with the Port Security Grant Program, on behalf of the
McCracken County Sheriff's Department, to obtain funds in the amount of $24,974.
These funds will be used for the purchase of a fully equipped boat capable of patrolling
and responding to calls for service along the 100 plus miles of river and tributary
shoreline within the County. The City will administer the award, close it, and transfer the
title of the boat and equipment to McCracken County.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
