AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LARRY SMITH
CONTRACTORS, INC., FOR THE FLOODWALL PIPE REHABILITATION PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT AND ALL DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Larry Smith
Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $1,764,605.28, for the floodwall pipe rehabilitation project,
said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications, and advertisement for bids, as
contained in the bid of Larry Smith Contractors, Inc., of September 29, 2008.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract and all
documents necessary for the floodwall pipe rehabilitation project, authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the FW CMP Project Account
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
