AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CITY WIDE RECYCLING FOR
STORM DAMAGE DEBRIS REMOVAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of City Wide Recycling, in
an amount not to exceed $60,000 for storm damage debris removal, said bid being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of City
Wide Recycling, of October 27, 2008. Said debris still remains from the wind -storm the City
experienced on September 14, 2008.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with City Wide Recycling for storm damage debris removal, as authorized in Section 1
above, pursuant to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Tree/Weed/Debris account.
SECTION 4. Due to the time restraint with FEMA reporting requirements, and in
order to complete the clean up before inclement winter weather begins, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
