At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chambers at City Hall at 9:00 a.m. , Thursday, May 25, 1989, Mayor Pro -tem Leeper
presided, and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Com-
missioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling,, and Mayor Pro -tem Leeper (4). Mayor Montgomery
arrived late (1).
commissioner Coleman offered motion, seconded by Mayor Pro -tem, Leeper, that
the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m.,
Thursday, May 257, 1.989, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling, and Mayor Pro -tem, Leeper (4).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Mayor Pro -tem Leeper, that
the Board of Commissioners introduce and adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CONTRACTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND VANGUARD CONTRACTORS, INC. AND
MIDSTATES CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR RENOVATIONS TO CITY HALL". This ordinance is
summarized as follows: Amending contracts between the City and Vanguard Contractors,
Inc. and Midstates Construction, Inc. for renovations to City Hall as follows:
Increase Vanguard Contractors Base Bid No. I to $284,102.09; Base Bid No. III to
$22,594.10; and increase Midstates Construction to $81,231.53. Adopted on call of
the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling and Mayor Pro -tem Leeper (4)
Commissioner Keeling offered motion, seconded by Mayor Pro -tem Leeper,, that
the Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH DENTON & KEULERr A LAW FIRM, TO PROVIDE LEGAL
SERVICES TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH". This ordinance is summarized as follows:
Authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Denton & Keuler, a law firm, to
provide legal
services to the City of
Paducah at a rate of
$70.00 per
hour
plus
reimbursement
of all reasonable legal
costs and expenses.

Mayor Pro -tem Leeper offered motion, seconded by commissioner Keeling, that
the Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled., "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE
PADUCAH -Mc CRACKEN COUNTY RIVERPORT". This ordinance is summarized as follows:
Authorizing the Mayor to execute an Amendment to Agreement between the City of
Paducah and Paducah --McCracken County Riverport. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas,
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Keeling and Mayor Pro -tem Leeper (4).
