ORDINANCE NO. 91-8-4652
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DRAVO BASIC
MATERIAI'S CO., INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT
OF LIMESTONE TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR THE
YEAR 1991-92, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRAC FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Dravo Bisic Materials Co., Inc., for sale to the City of its
requirement of limestone to be used in street construction
work for the year 1991-92, said bid being in words and
figures as follows:
"We propose to furnish, sell and deliver to the
City of Paducah (within the city limits) crushed
limestone and riprap in lots of 100 tons or more,
as ordered for the following prices per ton:
#610 @ $6.00 per ton
#2 @ $6.70
43 @ $6.70 "
DGA @ $6.60
8" Rip Rap @ $6.95
"We will start delivery within twenty-four hours
after receiving each order. This is a firm price
and will not be advanced during the fiscal year
1991-92. In the event of a reduction in our
market price, we agree to adjust the price ac-
cordingly.
"Material delivered will be according to Kentucky
State Highway specifications for all crushed
limestone. Riprap will also meet Kentucky State
Highway specifications.
"If the contract is awarded to us, we agree to
post a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.
We also agree to conform with all other
requirements as set forth in the request for bids
on this material".
Said bid being in compliance with, and as contained in the
bid of Bravo Basic Materials Co., Inc., dated July 10, 1991.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to exe-
cute a contract with Dravo Basic Materials Co., Inc. for the
purchase' of limestone as set out in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said limestone
shall b', charged to MAP Account No. 03-22-14-384.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title a'd a certified summary thereof.
