AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 27-48 and 27-49 of Chapter 27„
REFUSE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That Section 27-48 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 27-48. Rates --Normal service.
There is hereby levied a refuse collection service charge of six dollars and
t-wenty-eight eents $6.28) seventy five cents ($6.75) per month and a landfill
disposal charge of two dollars ($2.00) per month for a total of eight dollars and
seventy five ($8.75) on each household and each business place in the City for the
purpose of increasing the revenue of the generel sanitation fund out of which
shall be met the costs of providing refuse collection and landfill disposal services;
provided, that households of which the lawful head is unable to afford such
charge, as certified by a social agency as authorized by the city, may be exempt
from such charge.
SECTION 2. That Section 27-49 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 27-49. Same --Additional service generally.
For additional refuse collection service rendered by the city, there shall be
levied a charge which shall be based on the following schedule of charges, except
as otherwise provided in Section 27-50:

Section 3. These charges shall be effective on bills rendered on and
subsequent to February 1, 1990.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon publication in full.
