AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
COMPOST TURNER (SCAT MACHINE) IN THE AMOUNT OF $53,600.00,
FROM EQUIPMENT SALES, INC. FOR USE IN LEAF DECOMPOSITION
WHEREAS, this purchase is being made as a non-
competitive negotiation under Section 26-21 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, Equipment Sales, Inc. is the sole
supplier of this equipment in this area.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City Treasurer is hereby
authorized to pay to Equipment Sales, Inc. the sum of
$53,600.00 for the purchase of one compost turner (Scat
Machine) for use in the decomposition of leaves.
SECTION 2.
This expenditure shall be charged to
Account Number 01-50-22-434.
i SECTION 3. In order to facilitate leaf
decomposition before the onset of inclement weather, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
will become effective immediately with one reading.
