ORDINANCE NO. 91- 11-4691
AN ORDINANCE PROVING A DEED OF CORRECTION AND
QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE G. ANTHONY JOHNSTON
ESTATE
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah by Ordinance adopted by

the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah on December 11,
1962, of record in Ordinance Book 14, Page 849, did authorize the
closing of 37th Street situated and lying between the North line
of Central Avenue and the North line of The Branch; and
WHEREAS, the description contained in the aforesaid
ordinance and the Circuit Court judgment was erroneous; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of correcting this error.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
SECTION ONE
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed
of correction and quitclaim deed to the G. Anthony Johnston
Estate in order to correct the erroneous description contained in
`✓ the aforesaid ordinance and Circuit Court action, whereby 37th
Street lying between the North side of Central Avenue and the
North line of The Branch was officially closed; said street being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the original North
right of way line of Central Avenue, said
point being the original centerline of 37th
Street; thence in a Northerly direction and
along the original centerline of 37th Street
236.58 feet to a point; thence with an
interior angle of 700 00' and in an Easterly
direction 41.10 feet to a point; thence with
an interior angle of 610 42' and in a
Southerly direction 24.93 feet to a point;
thence in a southerly direction and with an
interior angle of 2280 18' a distance of
175.0 feet to a point; thence with an
interior angle of 2380 15' and in an easterly
direction 58.8 feet to a point in the north
right of way line of Central Avenue; thence
with an interior angle of 310 45' and in a
westerly direction and along the original
north right of way line of Central Avenue
70.0 feet to the point of beginning; the
first call and the last call of the above
description making an interior angle of 900
001. Said tract contains 5,652 square feet
or 0.13 acres.

SECTION TWO
The G. Anthony Johnston Estate currently has a
purchaser for the real property lying adjacent to said closed
roadway and in order to expedite the sale of said property, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
become effective with one reading.
