HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-6-4628227 ORDINANCE NO. 91-06-4628 AN ORDINANCE FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property north of and adja- cent to the present city limits, along Holt Road, is suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay. WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property. WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city. WHEREAS, the Board of commissioners of the City of Paducah have enacted Ordinance 91-03-4580 expressing the intentions of the City of Paducah to annex and make a part of the City of Paducah the territory described below. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That it is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky to annex the hereinafter described property and therefore, that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and be made a part of, the City of Paducah, Kentucky; the said real property being more par- ticularly and accurately described as follows: Beginning at a point in the west right of way line of Holt Road, said point located 1,683.36 feet north of the intersection of U.S. Highway ti. 62 and the west right of way line of Holt Road; thence in a northerly direction along said west right of way line of Holt Road, a distance of 392.98 feet to a point, said point located at the intersection of the Mary Agnes Hough south property line, as recorded in Deed Book 634 Page 627, and the west right of way line of Holt Road; thence S 79°00100" W a distance of 425 feet ± along said south property line to a point; thence continuing along said south property line N 74030100" W a distance of 1,460.25 feet to a point, said point located in the southwest corner of Mary Agnes Hough �•�:-al�._n�.�.t.:Jh �_ �..._slt__ 1,,.-_ __._ ,.. �_ �_ .,.,_ �i __— ._. u__ � 1 _:_c_ ::__�.1J. v-::�c._:-t�)c�•:'ll��.uls-�te�tl�:m-1m�.. �i •��x:: _ 1m,u.��J6��Yll:aa Ima�_iri I I ,� __ � .I ...,,I � , �.. ,I 228 property; thence N 15030100" E a distance of 1,357.95 feet to a point; thence S 74030100" E a distance of 1,046.10 feet to a point, said point located in the northwest corner of the Herbert Chapman property; thence S 9018100" W a distance of 226.21 feet to a point; thence S 74030100" E a distance of 520 feet ± to a point, said point located 20 feet ± from the centerline of Holt Road; thence in a southerly direction parallel with the centerline of Holt Road a distance of 1,767.54 feet ± to a point; thence in a westerly "1 direction a distance of 5 feet ± to a point, said point located in the west right of way line`iv of Holt Road; thence in a northerly direction along the existing west right of way line of Holt Road a distance of 399.56 feet to the point of beginning, said point being the northeast corner of the existing city limits. The aforementioned described tract consists of 49.88 acres. SECTION 2. This final ordinance of annexation shall be read on two separate days and upon publication the territory described above shall become a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for all purposes.
