ORDINANCE NO. 91-7-4643
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS REAL
PROPERTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF PADUCAH WATER WORKS
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 84-8-2570 was adopted by the
Board of Commissioners on August 28, 1984, approving the
Resolution of the commissioners of Water Works of the City
of Paducah declaring property located at 221 South First
Street, 229 Madison Street and two tracts at North Third

Street, Harrison Street and the I-24 Loop in the City of
Paducah no longer suitable or necessary to the operation of
the Water Works; and
WHEREAS, oral motion of the Commissioners of Water
Works dated May 29, 1991, recommended the City of Paducah
accept the offer of ALCO Health Services Corporation to
purchase surplus property, Tract No. 3, Third and Harrison
Streets, for the sum of Eighteen Thousand ($18,000.00)
Dollars; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Water Works have
declared the proceeds from the sale of this property are
needed to continue the efficient operation of the Water
Works, and that it would be in the best public interest to
sell same; and
WHEREAS, said property is presently owned by the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, on behalf of Paducah Water Works.1J'
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby accepts the
offer of ALCO Health Services Corporation to purchase for
the sum of Eighteen Thousand ($18,000.00) Dollars the real
property, more particularly described by plat attached
hereto and incorporated herein as if set out in full.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah hereby authorizes
and directs the Mayor to execute and the Corporation Counsel
to approve all deeds and any other documents necessary to
accomplish the purposes of this ordinance, and further
authorizes the proceeds from this sale to be deposited in
the General Fund Account of Paducah Water Works.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
