ORDINANCE NO. 91-6-4632
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE KENTUCKY NATURAL RESOURCES
AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION CABINET, DIVISION OF FORESTRY,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $14,110.00 FOR AN URBAN FORESTRY
ASSISTANCE GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has petitioned the
Division of Forestry to obtain a grant to establish a
Position of city forester through which an official program
of tree planting, maintenance and site design will be
implemented.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
Memorandum of Agreement with the Kentucky Natural Resources
and Environmental Protection Cabinet, Division of Forestry,
in an amount not to exceed $14,100.00 to obtain a grant for
the establishment of a position of city forester, through
which an official program of tree planting, maintenance and
site design will be implemented. This Memorandum of
Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated by reference
as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. The account number for this
expenditure shall be determined by -the City Manager.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
