ORDINANCE NO. 91-9-4675
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PADUCAH NEWSPAPERS INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $20,000.00 TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1560
NORTH 8TH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY,
KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Paducah Newspapers
Inc. in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00)
with Paducah Newspapers Inc. for the acquisition of property \
located at 1560 North Eighth Street in the City of Paducah, V
McCracken County, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. This property is more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the north right of way
line of Eighth Street, said point being 385.50
feet east of the point of intersection of the
north right of way of Eighth Street (60 foot right
of way) and the east right of way of Ellis Street
(50 foot right of way), if said east right of way
was extended, said beginning point being the
southeast property corner of Roy C. Wayne Supply
Company property as recorded in Deed Book 292,
page 431; thence north 10 degrees, 14100" east,
346.55 feet to an existing stone; thence south 68
I degrees 11100" east, 280.00 feet to an existing
�./ stone; thence south 28 degrees 46100" west, 277.00
feet to an existing stone; thence south 68 degrees
35119" east, 119.84 feet to an existing stone in
the north right of way of Eighth Street; thence
along the north right of way of Eighth Street
north 79 degrees 41131" west, 40.71 feet to an
existing stone in said right of way; thence along
the north right of way of Eighth Street north 80
degrees 45'00" west, 263.14 feet to the point of
beginning.
Said property containing 74,460.2 square feet or
1.71 acres.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 50-22-11-416
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
