ORDINANCE NO. 91-9-4667
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE McCRACKEN
COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
WHEREAS, the Society maintains a humane animal
pound in McCracken County, Kentucky, which pound has
sufficient facilities to humanely house lost and stray �
animals; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Society have reached an
agreement in regard to the provision of the services by the
Society and do now desire to formalize said agreement in
writing.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute an Agreement between the City of Paducah and the
McCracken County Humane Society for the humane impoundment
of lost and stray animals and other services provided by the
Society. This Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated
by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 01-16-08-258.
SECTION 3. In order to avoid interruption of
services provided by the Humane Society, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become
effective immediately with one reading.
