ORDINANCE NO. 91-8-4666
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
AN AMENDMENT OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PROFESSIONAL FIRE
FIGHTERS OF PADUCAH, LOCAL 168, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
FIRE FIGHTERS, AMENDING AN AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO ON
SEPTEMBER 1, 1978, AND LAST AMENDED ON JULY 1, 1989
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and Professional Fire L
Fighters of Paducah, Local 168, International Association of
Fire Fighters, hereinafter referred to as "Union", entered
into an Agreement on September 1, 1978; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement was last amended on July
1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the City and Union have reached an
agreement as to wages for members of Local 168, effective
July 1, 1991.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
enter into an Agreement with the Professional Fire Fighters
of Paducah, Local 168, International Association of Fire
Fighters. Said Agreement is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. All other items and conditions of the
Agreement entered into between Local 168, International
Association of Fire Fighters, and the City of Paducah, dated
September 1, 1978, and last amended on the lst day of July,
1989, shall remain in full force and effect unless they are
specifically amended by this or subsequent ordinance of the
Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 3. In order for this Agreement to be
effective retroactive to July 1, 1991, and in order to
insure a proper and harmonious working relationship between
the City and Local 168, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage with one reading.
