HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-8-4662290 ORDINANCE NO. 91-8-4662 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ALONG CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS AND PUBLIC WAYS OF THE CITY DURING ANY PERIOD OF TIME THAT THE DESIGNATED STREET OR PUBLIC WAY IS TO BE CLEANED WHEREAS, the', City provides sweeping and cleaning i of streets and public ways for the convenience and welfare of the public; and WHEREAS, to promote the cleaning and sweeping of City streets, it is the intent and desire of the City of Paducah that vehicles not be allowed to be parked along any street or right of way during any period of time that such street or right of way is to be cleaned and/or swept, provided that such street and right of way has been designated by a posted notice. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle along any designated City street or public way during any period of time that such street or public way is to be cleaned by the City. A designated street or public way shall be any street or public way for which the City posts a notice that there shall be no parking during specified periods of time for purposes of allowing such street or public way to be cleaned. SECTION 2. Any person violating the provisions of this Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00). Additionally, the City shall have the authority to remove and impound any vehicle parked in violation of this Section pursuant to Section 20-129 through 20-131. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. 0\ GERRY B.
