AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH
CONTRACTING CO., INC. FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THEICITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: \
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of �r
Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc.;for resurfacing various
streets in the City of Paducah for the following prices:
Bituminous surface, 13,500 tons @ $28.50
Bituminous pavement & milling texturing, 6,500
tons @ $17.50
Base construction (DG,A), 500 tons @ $12.50
Shoulder construction (DGA), 500 tons @ $15.00
Manhole adjustment, 20, @ $500.00
Said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids, and as contained
in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc., dated
July 11, 1991.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc. for
�I the service authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
J specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc. will
furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of
said contract, a performance bond in an amount equal to one
hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
SECTION 4. The purchase price for said services
shall be charged to the MAP Account No. 03-22-14-464.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
