AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CON-
TRACTING COMPANY, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS RE-
QUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS COLD MIX FOR THE YEAR 1991-92, TO BE
USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc., for sale to the City of
its requirement of bituminous cold mix for the year 1991-92
(approximately 400 tons) for the sum of $28.00 per ton, to
be used in street construction, in compliance with, and as
contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc.,
dated July 11, 1991.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc.,
for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. Jim Smith Contracting Company will
furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execution of
said contract, a performance bond in the amount of
$1,000.00.
SECTION 4. The purchase price for said material
shall be charged to Municipal Aid Program Account No.
03-22-14-384.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
