ORDINANCE NO. 89-4-4232
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH LAND DESIGN/RESEARCH, INC., PURSUANT TO THEIR
PROPOSAL IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Land Design/Research, Inc. in the
amount of $25,000.00, pursuant to their proposal dated April
20, 1989, for a concept plan on the presently vacant
property bounded by the Ohio River on the east, then running
west to 2nd Street, north to Jefferson Street, west to 3rd
Street, north along 3rd Street to Monroe Street, east to 2nd
Street, north along 2nd Street to Madison Street, and then
back to the river.
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer shall pay the sum
of $2,500.00 to Land Design/Research, Inc. as a retainer,
with the balance to be paid upon completion and submission
of the Concept Plan Report authorized in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3.
In order to implement this study and
have an opportunity to secure"funding assistance from the
State of Kentucky, an emergency is declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one
reading.
