HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-11-4344ORDINANCE NO. 89-11-4344 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND PADUCAH- McCRACKEN COUNTY RIVERPORT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the City of Paducah acquired an interest to the herein described property under a contract, lease and option agreement dated October 11, 1941, of record in Deed Book 211, Page 348, McCracken County Clerk's Office, which property is a part of a 13.5 acre tract conveyed to the Paducah -McCracken County Riverport Authority by deed dated August 17, 1987, of record in Deed Book 704, page 816, aforesaid clerk's office; and WHEREAS, the parties are desirous of establishing for the record that the City of Paducah claims no interest in the hereinafter described property under the terms and conditions set forth in the contract, lease and option agreement. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed for the property described as follows: Lot Number 3 in division of J.M. Fountleroy's lands as shown by plat in Deed Book V, page 24, and described as follows: Beginning at a black oak, 26 poles from the southeast corner in the south line of said survey; running in a westerly direction, 77 poles to a stake; thence in a northerly direction 115 poles to a stake; thence in an easterly direction 83 poles to a stake; thence in a southerly direction 53 1/2 poles to a stake; post oak and beach oak; thence in a southerly direction 107 poles to the beginning, containing 70 acres. There is excepted 20 acres off the south end, sold to E.D. Butler on August 25, 1902, in Deed Book 65, page 635, and described as follows: Beginning at a black oak at the southeast corner of said tract of land; thence in a westerly direction 77 poles to a stake, being the southwest corner of said tract; thence in a northerly direction, with the west line of said tract of land, 42 poles; thence east 77 poles to the east line of said tract; thence south.42 poles to the beginning, containing 20 acres more or less. 723 724 .............
