AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ASPHALT PAVING,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,676.60 FOR CHARTER OAK DRIVE SEWER
EXTENSION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the
bid of Asphalt Paving, Inc. in the amount of $26,676.60 for
Charter Oak Drive sewer extension, said.bid being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of
Asphalt Paving, Inc., dated November 27, 1989.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to
execute a contract with Asphalt Paving, Inc. for Charter Oak
Drive sewer extension authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
the Sewer Depreciation and Extension Account.
SECTION 4. Due to seasonal construction limita-
tions and the urgency for completion of sanitary sewer
service for commercial establishments in this area, an
emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance will
become effective immediately with one reading.
