ORDINANCE NO. 89-7-4260
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,265.90
WITH WESTEND GARDEN CENTER FOR LANDFILL SEEDING
WHEREAS, the City entered into a contract with IV
Westend Garden Center for seeding the landfill; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, decreasing the
original contract price by $5,000.00, was approved on
October 2.5, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 was approved on March
31, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 was approved on June
13, 1989; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 4 is required in order
to pay for additional materials and services to complete
landfill seeding operations.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into Change Order No. 4 in the amount of
$16,265.90 with Westend Garden Center in order to pay for
additional materials and services to complete landfill
seeding operations. This Change Order is attached hereto
and incorporated herein as if set out in full.
SECTION 2. The amount of the contract with
Westend Garden Center is amended to $53,347.90.
SECTION 3. In order to avoid payment of late
charges, an emergency is declared to exist and this
ordinance will become effective immediately with one
reading.
