AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 FOR EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City has solicited a bid for
�'� emergency repairs to a pump for the Island Creek Pump
Station through non-competitive negotiations under Section
26.21 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, recognizing
that an emergency exists, grants authority for the City to
enter into a contract for an amount not to exceed
$25,000.00.
BE IT ORDAINED.BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter
into a contract in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 for
emergency repairs to pump for Island Creek Pump Station.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 10-500-320-309.
SECTION 3. Due to only two remaining pumps in
operation to protect Island Creek, an emergency is declared
to exist and this ordinance will become effective imme-
diately with one reading.
