Section 1 is hereby amended to read as "That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for sale to the City of its requirement of limestone to be used in street construction work for the fiscal year 1989-90, said bid being in words and figures as follows: "'We propose to furnish, sell and deliver to the City of Paducah (within the city limits) crushed limestone and riprap in lots of 100 tons or more, as ordered for the following prices per ton: #11 @ $5725 5.65 per ton #610 @ $5725 5.75 " it #2 @ $5-69 6.35 " it #3 @ $57.68 6.35 " of #68 @ $5 -*45 6.45 " It #78 @ $5.98 6.60 " it #8 @ $5799 6.60 " " #9M @ $5796 6.60 " " DGA @ $5799 6.45 " " #125 Rip Rap @ $6.75 8" Rip Rap @ $7.50 "'We will start delivery within twenty-four hours after receiving each order. This is a firm price and will not be advanced during the fiscal year 1989-90. In the event of a reduction in our market price, we agree to adjust the price ac- cordingly. "'Material delivered will be according to Kentucky State Highway specifications for No. 2, No. 610, No. 68, No. 3, No. 78, No. 8, No. 9M, No. 11 and DGA crushed limestone. Riprap will also meet Kentucky State Highway specifications. "'If the contract is awarded to us, we agree to post a performance bond in the amount of $1,000. We also agree to conform with all other requirements as set forth in the request for bids on this material'." Said bid being in substantial compliance with a Municipal Order authorized by the Board of Commissioners on April 11, 1989, and as contained in the bid of Reed Crushed Stone, dated April 28, 1989. SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to exe- cute a contract with Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for 645 the purchase of limestone as set out in Section 1 above, according to the provisions in said Municipal Order and in said bid. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said limestone shall be charged to the following accounts: Contingency Fund - 10-500-150-494; Contract Repair Construction - 10-500-160-257; Flood Construction - 10-500-320-369; Street Paving - 10-500-330-354; MAP Street Paving - 10-500-340-354; Landfill Development -10-500-425-710; Expansion & Development, Cemetery -10-500-430-525; and Expansion & Development, Parks Dept. - 10-500-610-525. SECTION 4. In order to avoid payment of late charges on current pending invoices, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading.
