HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-10-4329ORDINANCE NO. 89-10-4329 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF HAM'S REALTY & AUCTION COMPANY FOR THE PUBLIC AUCTION OF REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME WHEREAS, the City of Paducah owns surplus real and personal property which are no longer of value to the City for governmental purposes; and WHEREAS, Kentucky Revised Statutes allow the City to dispose of excess property by public auction; and WHEREAS, Ham's Realty & Auction Company has submitted a proposal to the City for auctioning said surplus real and personal property. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a one-year contract with Ham's Realty & Auction Company for the public auction of real and personal City property to be designated by the Board of Commissioners. This contract is incorporated by reference as if set out in full herein. Said Contract may be renewed on an annual basis upon agreement by both parties. SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is authorized to pay Ham's Realty & Auction Company a fee for its services computed as follows: Fee Including Advertising: Large Equipment Vehicles Personal Property Real Property 8° $40.00 per vehicle 15% 8° 0 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. GERRY B.
